Case Study: Brisbane Airport Multi Level Car Park

OVERVIEW:

Brisbane Airport wanted to upgrade their flooring but had no specification for the concrete floor finish.

INVOLVEMENT:

GCP determined the most suitable flooring solution to reduce tyre marks and noise, and improve durability.

APPROACH:

Tests were undertaken across multiple products to deliver a floor that could encompass a 20-year warranty, and that would be permanently dust proofed, easy to clean, and offer a more abrasive resistant surface.

IMPACT:

Avoided lifecycle maintenance costs for re-application plus shutdown of car park levels, estimated at approximately AUD$250,000 per level.

5 Key Tips to Achieving Sustainable Concrete Solutions
